Evite’s Analytics & Data Infrastructure team is seeking a Database & Business Intelligence Developer, Digital Advertising to support the Digital Advertising Sales/Ad Operations aspects of our business. The candidate must possess communication skills, critical thinking capabilities, and be a cultural fit. Our ideal candidate should have strong communication that allows them to translate complex findings to all stakeholders. This individual should be driven by an inquisitive curiosity to learn and can pick up new knowledge and skills independently. Core Capabilities: 

  • Proven track record defining Digital Advertising business objectives and transforming them into Database solutions, including mapping data from various source systems into a unified Ad Tech database
  • Proven track record working collaboratively with business stakeholders in Ad Tech/Sales to create data-driven Business Intelligence solutions that drive value for the business and advertising clients.  Ability to see the business challenge behind data & analytics challenges
  • Proven track record as a power user of Tableau (or similar Business Intelligence tool), SQL and Ad Tech platforms (DoubleClick preferred)

  • Maintain our Digital Advertising database mapping data from transactional source systems into tables optimized for Business Intelligence reporting. 
  • Maintain ETL pipelines, including: SQL scripts, ODBC connections and API calls. 
  • Define KPIs & business requirements and build advanced SQL queries, tables and views and to support Tableau dashboards and ad hoc reporting.
  • Identify and resolve bugs in the data and database scripts that are causing errors in our automated dashboards.
  • Work collaboratively with our Advertising/Sales team to advise Sales staff and clients on how to best use data and Business Intelligence tools to achieve their advertising goals
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Ad Tech data and processes to both translate business processes and goals into data solutions and communicate the capabilities and constraints of data solutions to the non-technical business stakeholders
  • Create Tableau dashboards/reports and maintain our library of self-serve Tableau dashboards to support business users in the Sales and Ad Operations teams
  • Use analytical tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Salesforce Analytics, comScore)
  • Help the Ad Sales & Strategy teams tell stories with data to close ad sales and support advertiser clients


  • Master’s Degree in Related Engineering Field, Computer Science or similar with an emphasis on databases and analytics
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in Digital Media/Tech after completing the Master’s Degree, with a clear career emphasis on Digital
  • Strong experience turning data into insights and presenting those insights in a way that has influenced decisions by key decisionmakers
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL – advanced SQL skills a must (SQL Server and RedShift preferred)
  • 3+ years developing Business Intelligence and Reporting with Tableau (or similar BI platform).  Ideally a Tableau power user
  • 3+ years of experience supporting digital advertising with data and analytics needs, preferably in high data volume environments
  • Strong experience with data modeling, data warehousing and ETL
  • Strong Experience with DoubleClick Platform - SSP/DSP data and reporting, programmatic advertising a strong plus
  • Experience with Google Analytics (or similar) a strong plus
  • Experience with Salesforce Analytics and comScore (or similar) a strong plus
  • Shell scripting and knowledge of command line utilities a plus
  • Knowledge of Python and/or R a plus
  • MS-Excel and PowerPoint skills
